Pierre Lamar Memorial Scholarship
In 2016, Mr. Pierre Lamar Agee sadly passed away after struggling with an alcohol and opioid addiction. Pierre was a father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend to many. He was loving, kind-hearted, and always ready to lend a helping hand.
To honor Pierre’s life, his values, and the enduring impact he had on everyone who knew him, I am proud to announce the creation of the Pierre Lamar Memorial Scholarship. Established in loving memory of my cousin, this scholarship is my way of keeping his spirit alive by offering support to individuals who are also struggling with an addiction.
Addiction is a devastating illness that affects not only the individual, but also their loved ones. It remains a serious public health crisis with profound effects on communities everywhere. Through the Pierre Lamar Memorial Scholarship, I hope to transform loss into opportunity by helping those struggling with an addiction access the resources and care they need to heal and thrive.
Funds donated to the Pierre Lamar Memorial Scholarship will help cover the cost of services for clients facing financial hardship, those without insurance, or individuals who qualify for sliding-scale fees. In doing so, Pierre’s legacy will continue to inspire hope and positive change for years to come.
